Executive Committee
The Committee has decided that the bar will be managed on a volunteer basis. Other Fraternal organizations have done this and been successful in keeping their doors open. Tom Rein has volunteered to manage the club and pledges to look for ways to trim costs and cut expenses. The best way to do this is with volunteers. One example is Bingo which could use a volunteer one night a week.
Dances at the Post. We would like you to come out and participate. Dance, have a cocktail and see old friends as well as make new ones.
Also, a lot of you are able to receive e-mail. If you do and would like to receive your newsletter via e-mail (in color), contact us at post@capitolpost1.org
It would save us a lot in postage & printing.
The Executive Committee thanks you for your support of the American Legion…God Bless America!

NOTICE
Please be advised that our Bartenders DO NOT make the policy. They are only to do as our Bar Manager has instructed them to do, no more, no less. Our Bar Manager is instructed to do as the House Committee decides. The house Committee has decided that the amount of liquor in All drinks, regardless of the glass size will be 1¼ oz. The amount will apply to everyone and every drink. The only exception to this will be if the recipe for a drink calls for a different amount. If you have a problem with your drink take it to our Bar Manager, the House Committee or better still to one of our meetings. Please do not vent on the Bartenders, they are only doing as they been told.

Club Report
We are having the Legendary Shadows perform on Aug 28 & Sep 18th. Come out and eat a steak before the show, then stay and dance and enjoy the music on these dates. I need to know if any of you would be interested in watching NFL games this season. This is a test to see if you read your newsletter. Cut out this article out, mark yes or no on it, bring it in and I’ll give you a free draw of Miller Lite or Bud Light.
If I get enough yes votes, we will open early enough for you to enjoy the games. This not only applies to football but anything else that you as members would enjoy having. Your suggestions are needed to keep the club a viable operation. If the club doesn’t receive your support soon, I am going to have to cut the hours of operation drastically, and I really don’t want to do that.

Bingo Report
We are still doing well at Bingo. Although we are short-handed, we're still getting the job done.
As always I'd like to thank all the volunteers who help out at Bingo. I really appreciate your help and dedication.
